Jockey Club “age at home” devotes to bring different types of gerontech equipment from all over the world to Hong Kong, so more elders and carers in need can know, learn, try or even bring the suitable equipment back home.

Comes with the New Year, Jockey Club“age at home”is partnering up with the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong to host the“Gerontech from Canada”exhibition. This the first time Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong partner with local organization to hold an exhibition on Gerontech. By this valuable occasion, we hope to introduce the latest technology to the public and provide needed assistance to achieve “ageing in place”.

The exhibition features the latest gerontech equipment, including the world's first blind spot sensor for wheelchairs to assist people with visual disability, patented seat and stand cushions which help to improve user’s posture as well as absorbing shocks to reduce the impact of falling. More exhibited items included braces for foot drop following a stroke or nervous system damage, and an oral motor rehabilitation exercise programme designed for those with difficulties in swallowing.
