Occupational therapist will conduct on-site evaluation for service users with consideration of factors such as individual needs, functional ability, self-care ability and home environment before recommending different aid equipment for daily use. They will also provide guidance to service users and carers on appropriate equipment usage that helps strengthen elderly’s self-care ability such as eating, grooming, dressing, toileting and bathing. At the same time, it reduces carers’ stress and increase safeness when providing care and hence increase the living quality.
