“Gerontechnology, Accompanying You Along the Way” Mini-exhibition

Jockey Club "age at home" Gerontech Education and Rental Service Centre is now holding Mini-Exhibition: “Gerontechnology, Accompanying You Along the Way”. During the mini-exhibition, the Centre will present a series of activities for people with limited mobility and their carers:
“Restart Your Journey” and “Safe Transfers, Thoughtful Care for You” Mini-theatre
2 mini videos document the challenges for the people with mobility difficulties and their carers and how their conditions are improved with gerontechnology.
Virtual Power Wheelchair Simulation Corner
Visitors can immerse into the experience of controlling a power wheelchair under a safe environment. They will also gain understanding on the training modules on power wheelchair usage and how it acts as a possible solution for people with mobility difficulties.
Gerontechnology Matching Game
Visitors can select the respective gerontechnology game cards for the people in particular mobility level indicated on the roulette. Through the matching game, carers can gain understanding on how to select the most suitable aids to fulfill the mobility needs.
Treasure Hunt Game
A Centre map at the game booth indicates the locations of various gerontechnology for different mobility levels. Visitors can explore the Centre and collect the respective stamps, which they can win a souvenir if a full set of stamps is collected!
Carer Cheer Zone
Visitors can draw a memo with special message for the carers from the Gacha machine. They can stick it to the poster at the booth to spread the support or take it home as a self-help reminder.
