Overcome barrier with technology: Supporting Mobility Impairment Mini-exhibition

With increasing age, body functions and conditions start changing or even suffer from some diseases. Some common diseases cause mobility impairment which include stroke, Parkinson ’s disease, sarcopenia, arthritis and traumatic brain injury. Apart from mobility ability, in many cases, clients’ self-care ability is affected as well.
Different mobility and Activity of Daily Living (ADL) assisted equipment that are suitable for different clients with different mobility level will be displayed throughout the mini-exhibition. These assistive equipment can help maintain and enhance the ADL and IADL of clients and participation in valued occupations, so as to facilitate an independent and safe living and reduce caregivers’ burden.
